These paintings were first shown at a solo exhibition in Cairns Regional Gallery in 1996.  Initial inspiration for the series came from a visual experience during recuperation from serious illness, and culminated in the painting Grace Immanent, which expresses the intense and joyous life force inherent in flowers, and which became the focal point of the exhibition.  This painting is 5 feet high x 7 feet wide and has enormous impact.  It draws together the whole exhibition as a celebration of life.
